The Computing Research Laboratory New Mexico State University has multiple openings for software engineers to join one of CRL's R&D teams working on cross-lingual information retrieval, information extraction, machine translation, text summarization, knowledge elicitation from human users, intelligent agent environments and other advanced applications of natural language processing.

Excellent programming skills are expected. We work predominantly in Java and C++ but also use Perl, Javascript and C. Knowledge of these languages a plus. But readiness and ability to learn new languages or environments are a must. Similarly, knowledge of natural language processing applications is a plus, but desire and ability to learn about the content of CRL applications are a must.

Salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
CRL is a world leader in R&D in multilingual text processing applications. Its staff of about 50 includes 15 full-time Ph.D.-level researchers as well as software engineers, language specialists and graduate research assistants.
